Damage Types

Master the 9 damage types to maximize your tower effectiveness. Each element applies unique status effects and has strengths against certain enemy types.

Physical

Wounded

Raw physical damage from arrows, boulders, and brute force. The most common damage type.

Status Effect: Wounded

Reduces enemy armor by 5% per stack for 2 seconds, making them more vulnerable to subsequent physical damage.

Towers: Archer, Stone, Siege Titan, Earthquake Titan, Apocalypse Engine

Fire

Burning DoT

Scorching flames that continue to burn enemies after the initial hit. Excellent sustained damage.

Status Effect: Burning

Deals 15% of hit damage every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds. Stacks are effectively unlimited, allowing devastating damage over time. Completely blocks enemy regeneration while burning.

Towers: Laser, Death Ray, Inferno Phoenix, Solar Flare
Pro Tip: Trolls are weak to fire! Fire damage stops their regeneration.

Ice

Slow

Freezing attacks that slow enemies to a crawl. Essential for crowd control and buying time.

Status Effect: Chilled

Reduces enemy movement speed by 30% for 2.5 seconds. Stacks are unlimited for devastating crowd control!

Towers: Ice, Frost Mage, Frost Sentinel, Frostbite Wraith, Eternal Winter
Pro Tip: Combine with high-DPS towers to keep enemies in range longer!

Lightning

Chain

Electric bolts that arc between enemies. Excellent against groups of enemies.

Status Effect: Shocked

Lightning chains to 2 additional enemies within 150 range. Each bounce deals 60% of the previous damage.

Towers: Thunder God
Combo: Drench enemies with Water first for +25% lightning damage!

Poison

Spreading DoT

Toxic damage that spreads between enemies. Can build up to devastating stacks over time.

Status Effect: Poisoned

Deals 10% damage per second for 4 seconds. 25% chance to spread to nearby enemies each tick. Unlimited stacks!

Towers: Toxic, Plague Lord, Frostbite Wraith, Venom Accelerator
Pro Tip: Multiple Toxic towers can stack poison for insane damage on bosses!

Arcane

Damage Amplify

Mystical energy that weakens enemies to all damage sources. Great support damage type.

Status Effect: Marked

Target takes 15% more damage from ALL sources for 3 seconds. Stack with other debuffs for massive damage.

Towers: Magic, Void Stalker, Arcane Storm
Pro Tip: Bosses are often weak to Arcane! Use it to counter their high resistances.

Water

Lightning Amplify

Drenching attacks that set up devastating lightning combos. Synergy is key!

Status Effect: Drenched

Wet enemies take 25% more lightning damage for 4 seconds. Can also be applied by rain and storm weather events. Perfect setup for Thunder God!

Towers: Water
Combo: Water Tower + Thunder God = Devastating chain lightning combos!

Light

Reveal & Amplify

Radiant energy that exposes vulnerabilities and reveals hidden enemies.

Status Effect: Illuminated

Target takes 10% more damage from all sources and is revealed if stealthed. Lasts 2.5 seconds.

Towers: Beam, Crystal Nexus
Pro Tip: Wraiths are extremely weak to Light! Use Beam towers against spectral enemies.

Unholy

Curse & Lifesteal

Dark magic that curses enemies and sustains your towers through lifesteal.

Status Effect: Corrupted

Deals 12% DoT per 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds. Reduces enemy healing and regeneration by 30%!

Towers: Unholy, Death Knight
Pro Tip: Unholy's healing reduction destroys Trolls! They can't regenerate under the curse.

Enemy Type Resistances

Different enemy types have varying resistances that scale with wave number. Exploit their weaknesses for maximum damage!

Fast Enemies

Quick but fragile. Resistant to ice slows but weak to fire and lightning.

Weak to: Fire, Lightning, Unholy, Water
Resistant to: Physical, Ice

Tank Enemies

Heavy armor but slow. Use ice to kite and poison to wear them down.

Weak to: Poison, Ice, Water, Light, Lightning
Resistant to: Physical, Fire

Boss Enemies

Massive HP and resistances. Target their elemental weaknesses!

Weak to: Arcane, Unholy, Light, Water
Resistant to: Physical, Poison, Fire, Ice

Wraith Enemies

Spectral beings. Physical attacks pass through, but light banishes them.

Weak to: Light, Arcane
Resistant to: Physical, Unholy, Poison

Troll Enemies

Regenerating monsters. Fire and unholy stop their healing!

Weak to: Fire, Unholy, Light, Lightning
Resistant to: Physical, Poison, Ice

Knight Enemies

Heavily armored. Lightning conducts through metal armor!

Weak to: Lightning, Unholy, Water
Resistant to: Physical, Light, Fire, Ice

Fairy Enemies

Magical flying creatures. Fragile bodies but highly resistant to magic.

Weak to: Physical, Unholy, Ice, Lightning
Resistant to: Arcane, Light, Water, Poison

Angel Enemies

Divine beings that appear at wave 100+. Nearly immune to light, but corruption destroys them.

Weak to: Unholy, Lightning, Poison
Resistant to: Light, Arcane, Fire

Orc Enemies

Primitive brutes. Physically tough but primitive minds can't resist magic.

Weak to: Arcane, Lightning, Fire, Ice, Water
Resistant to: Physical, Poison

Shade Enemies (Invisible)

Stealthed shadow creatures. Cannot be targeted by non-Light towers until revealed. Light damage's Illuminated effect reveals them for 2.5s, allowing all towers to attack.

Weak to: Light, Arcane
Resistant to: Unholy, Physical, Poison
Counter: Place Beam or Crystal Nexus towers to apply Illuminated. The Range Tower Mastery talent "True Sight" also lets all towers see invisible enemies.
